Assistant Principal Kristie Gordon

This marks my seventh year serving the Porter community, during which I have held various roles, including lead school counselor, family engagement representative, after-school co-site lead, and PBIS coach. These experiences have allowed me to develop and maintain systems that prioritize the holistic development of every child. Our efforts have been recognized with accolades such as being named a PBIS Distinguished School and achieving the ASCA Model School Counseling Program designation.

As assistant principal, my primary focus is to ensure that Porter remains a safe, well-managed environment that fosters high levels of learning for all students. Implementing tiered instruction through the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) allows us to meet diverse student needs through quality classroom instruction, targeted small group interventions, and intensive remediation. I am committed to further enhancing Porter’s MTSS practices to boost student achievement for every child.
